Booking: Inflation @ Club Syn, Derby

This will be the first time that I'm posting about a booking I have played at, well this one had to get a mention. It was a roller coaster of a day, which included me not being able to even concentrate on the Barca v Chelski match!

I've been looking forward to this booking for weeks and the mad thing is that I almost at to cancel! @ 6pm my driver decided to let me down, I'll name and shame you Jaz! lol! So now I was trying frantically to get a rental or look at getting a train up there but time was not on my side! fast forward to around 9pm I just gave up, nothing was working for me! then came Mr Chuckie, who lucky for me lives close by and was also booked to play on the night! pheeeeewwwwww! We linked up and we blasted up to Derby, taking the wrong motorway, stopping by a service station with no food and £2.25 Haribos (wot a rip off) get lost slightly in Derby with Cops pulling us over then in the space of 30secs giving us directions to the venue, all be some type of RAC route planner directions, so the 3 of us in the car had to use some serious memory cells!!

After all that finally we arrived at Club Syn, to see one bouncer chilling and a whole load of cars near the venue only to see a casino next to Syn. I slightly was worried...... As I approached the doors they bouncer was cool and just let me in and I could hear the music load and clear... normally a sign that the venue is empty! the 2 flights of stairs had me thinking on each step... oh no, please, please, i havnt travelled 120+ miles for emptyness! arrrrrggghhh!

So turned the corner and wham! I had my smile back! Now the venue could of had a lot more people but in honesty, the number was very nice indeed! Firestarr was holding it down on deck, clocked I had arrived and he shouted 'Sef come on! Let's do this.' So I quickly set up Serato, and after a live PA from the '079 Me' crew I hit them with the dubplate special of 'Stick Up' by Dotstarr (watch out for that!!) The rest was history, hit after hit that the crowd knew and of course 'Migraine Skank' got the biggest reaction! May I add that I actually think I have the hardest dubplate of that track and if you don't have a dubplate of that track that is AIIIIIIIR! Overall the set was fire and I finished of with 'In The Air' by Perempay n Dee. I passed the buck onto Mr Chuckie who played banger after banger, bashment, hip-hop, reggae, rnb which Included my new favourite track Jamie Foxx - 'Blame It on The Alcohol' if that is what its called!

Overall it was a big night! plenty of vibes inside the place and deffo would wanna be a part of that again.... that club is sick!!! Shouts to DJ Firestarr and his team for making it happen!! The journey home was remembered for thick, THICK FOG!! but also remembered for 2 hours of head banging to Jadakiss' latest hits and some Rick Ross joints.

Hip-Hop aint so bad anymore!
